Terms of Service
A clear agreement, written to be read. These terms explain what FindFlower is, what it isn’t, and how to use it responsibly.
Last updated 8 July 2026 · Applies to the FindFlower Beta
Please read this first
FindFlower is a helpful identification aid, not a definitive authority. It can be wrong. Never rely on it alone for decisions about edibility, medicinal use, toxicity, or safety. When it matters, confirm with a qualified expert.
FindFlower is an identification aid
FindFlower helps you recognise flowers from a photograph and learn about them. It is a supportive tool for curiosity and learning — a starting point for understanding the plant life around you, not a certified botanical authority.
By using FindFlower, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the product.
Predictions may be wrong
Machine identification is probabilistic. Results are a best estimate, expressed with a confidence score and a set of alternatives precisely because they are not guaranteed to be correct.
The current Beta model recognises a limited set of botanical classes. A flower outside that set may be misidentified or matched to the closest thing the model knows. Treat every result as a considered suggestion to verify, not a fact.
Your responsibility when using results
You are responsible for how you act on FindFlower’s output. Because a mistaken identification can have real consequences, you agree not to rely on it for any decision affecting health or safety — including whether a plant is safe to touch, eat, or use — without independent, expert confirmation.
To the extent permitted by law, FindFlower and iBhx are not liable for outcomes arising from reliance on the product’s predictions.
Acceptable use
We ask that you use FindFlower fairly and lawfully. In particular, please do not:
- Upload content you don’t have the right to use, or that is unlawful or harmful.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse the service or its API.
- Present FindFlower’s output as certified or authoritative identification.
- Use the product to break any applicable law or the rights of others.
Changes to these terms
As FindFlower evolves, these terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
